Powerful drill even as 3/8 impact gun
Happy buying this drill. It has lot of power and very often use it with an adapter for 3/8 drive socket. It works.

Purchased my Dewalt at ACE for $[...]
My old DEWALT 18V drill had blown it's last battery so I started shopping. I found a new DeWalt 759A at ACE for $[...], Brought it home and discovered that all the components are compatible with my old half inch drill which still works. Now I have two drills for the price of replacing the batteries. Check ACE before June 20th for this deal. I suspect it is a loss leader and you do have to wait for a $20 rebate to get it down to $[...]. The first store had nothing but a picture on the rack with the $[...] price tag. The second store I tried had two in stock. They said they would come in later. YEAH.... I'm a little concerned that the wobble reported here by many buyers might be a problem. Oh well, I have my old standby Dewalt Hammer/drill which was used when I got it and runs very well ten years later. It sings a happy tune with the new low profile batteries installed. I am a bit disappointed to find that many of my favorite tool sellers such as Craftsman and DeWalt are going downhill in the quality department. For the hobbyist like myself, a trip to Harbor Freight is probably the best answer. The quality is low but you know what you are getting and the price is right. I throw the ten dollar tool away when it breaks and forget about all the hoops the manufactures want you to jump through to get a replacement on an expensive tool. Just my meandering thoughts. Please forgive.

5 years later and still going strong
I'm a remodeling contractor and use this drill EVERY day. I drive screws, drill 3/4" holes, stir 5 gallon buckets of joint compound & thin set. This drill just never stops. My subcontractors scoff when I hand this drill to them to mix heavy joint compound and then are amazed when they're done and I take it and keep working. I've had this drill for 5 years. The batteries are still good (but starting to show their age) and I usually only need to switch batteries once during the day if I'm doing heavy work like 3/4" holes with a spade bit. It's been dropped off of scaffolding, kicked and rattles around in the back of my pickup. I'll buy another one the instant this one decides it's had enough. For now, it's still going strong.

Ha! A $200 joke... And its not funny either.
Ha! A $200 joke... And its not funny either.

That about sums this drill up. It started out great, but the chuck eventually warped, and the battery stopped holding a charge after several months of light, household use. How much does a new battery cost? About $120.

I'd rather bust out the corded drill and extension cord...

Works for me
I am a homeowner and this is the perfect drill to have available for both small and large projects. Last summer it helped me build a deck and by the time one of the batteries discharged, the other battery was already recharged and ready to go to work.
I received this as a Father's Day gift last year and have been VERY pleased with it and it's performance.
