Powered by one 18-volt battery (included), the #CCS818 is ideal for general yard work, pruning trees, or helping to clear fallen branches. On a single charge, this saw can make up to 150 1-1/2-inch diameter cuts, so you can get more done in less time. It also features an on-board oiling system to keep the chain working properly, and a convenient window lets you easily see whether or not more oil is need. Additionally, a wrap-around handle lets you put the saw in the proper position for straight and side cuts, while a comfy grip pad keeps you going longer. The #CCS818 comes with a guide bar scabbard to protect the blade when not in use, and an on-board hex wrench.

I have a gas chainsaw, but wanted this battery powered one for small jobs. I figured I'd use it for nothing more than trimming bush branches & little saplings, but I have found that it's a full-blown chainsaw and quite capable of taking down a 7" tree with no problem whatsoever. The first time I put it to serious use, I had to take down a fairly large oak tree (7" diameter) and as usual couldn't get my gas saw started. So I grabbed the little B&D & a fresh battery and went to it. It went through the tree like a knife through butter! I was very impressed, and now when I need to cut trees, I grab the B&D before anything else. It's lightweight, easy to maneuver and work with, and will take down anything within the bite of its bar. It just plain rocks! I think the guys at Black & Decker actually use the tools they make because this saw, like all B&D power tools, is well thought out, well built, and everything on it just makes sense. They have a real winner with this saw. I highly recommend it.

I picked this up at Lowes as an addition to my collection of Black & Decker 18V tools. Wise choice. I've used it to clean up numerous small to medium (up to 8") limbs around my property and it handles all with ease. I don't even use my gas powered chain saw any more except for the big stuff. Battery life is more than adequate and its small size makes it really easy to handle. Best of all, my wife can use it. It doesn't scare her like the gas saw does!

I asked to get this product for a christmas gift (as well as the blower) and what a great gift it was! It is easy to put together and maintain. The fact that the battery is interchangeable with other tools which take the same battery is an added plus as well.

Can't offer much of a review - it's winter - haven't had an opportunity to use this product yet.

I have used many gas powered chair saws but this is a great tool for all but major jobs. Has very good power and long battery life. I would highly recommend it.
